A Harmonious Tribute to Sunil Bardewa.
On December 13 2024, The Tribute to Sunil Bardewa event at the state-of-the-art Maijan Sali in Helsinki’s Oodi Library was an extraordinary evening celebrating the musical genius of one of Nepal’s most beloved artists. This special event brought together not only Nepali musicians but also talented Finnish artists, showcasing a diverse blend of musical styles and cultures.
The performance was led by the renowned jazz musician Sharad Shakya and his talented band, who delivered mesmerizing renditions of Sunil Bardewa’s timeless melodies. Adding to the magic, Finnish musicians collaborated on stage, infusing unique interpretations that enriched the tribute and emphasized the universality of music.
The event attracted a broad audience, including young Nepalese growing up in Finland.
